Rikki Marin, whom he married on November 1, 1975, was the Actor’s first wife. Cheech and Rikki had a kid, and their bond lasted beyond marriage. 

She was an Actress who starred in the films Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie (1980) and Cheech and Chong’s The Corsican Brothers (1981). (1984).

Cheech and Rikki separated in 1984 and married Patti Heid on April 1, 1986. He had two children with Heid, although this marriage did not endure as long as his previous one. Heid also accused him of brutal abuse, but the court upheld his innocence.

Cheech Marin married Natasha Rubin in his Malibu home on August 8, 2009, in front of guests including Don Johnson, Carlos Mencia, and Geraldo Rivera.

Marin’s nickname “Cheech” is an abbreviation for “chicharron,” fried pork rind, a famous snack and component in Latin American cuisine. Marin credited the moniker to his uncle in a 2017 NPR interview.
