Is Tulsi Gabbard Muslim? Tulsi Gabbard is an American politician, U.S. Army Reserve officer, and political commentator who represented Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Before abandoning the Party and turning independent in October 2022, she ran for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

At the age of 21, Gabbard won a seat in the Hawaii House of Representatives in 2002. In Iraq from 2004 to 2005, Gabbard worked in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard.

From 2008 to 2009, she was stationed in Kuwait as an Army Military Police battalion Leader. She resigned from her position as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (D.N.C.) in order to support Bernie Sanders’s bid.

Tulsi Gabbard is not Muslim. Gabbard was both the first voting Samoan-American and the first Hindu member of Congress. Gabbard is vegan and, as a Hindu, follows Gaudiya Vaishnavism.

Gabbard was reared in a multiracial family and has lineage from both Europe and Samoa. Her mother was raised in Michigan after being born in Indiana.

Her Father is of Samoan and European descent; he was born in American Samoa and spent his early years in Hawaii and Florida.

Gabbard was shielded from outside influences and brought up in part in accordance with the teachings of the Science of Identity Foundation (SIF) religious sect and its spiritual Leader, Chris Butler.

Gabbard has been hesitant to discuss the SIF in public. With the exception of two years spent at an all-girls SIF boarding school in the Philippines, Gabbard received her high school education at home.

Hindus consider holy basil to be an earthly incarnation of the goddess Tulasi, and the word for her first name in Sanskrit is Tulasi. Her siblings’ names are similarly of Sanskrit origin. When Gabbard was a teenager, she converted to Hinduism.

What Does Tulsi Gabbard Believe?

Tulsi Gabbard was welcomed with a lei made of colorful plumeria flowers, a little bottle of coconut water, a bag full of mangoes, and a plethora of alerts on her phone when she landed at Lihue Airport on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

Gabbard had consented to give a speech at a memorial service honoring veterans at a nearby military cemetery on Memorial Day.

Since Gabbard has been a member of the Army National Guard since 2003, many of the folks present would be her comrades in arms.

In this role, she performed a mission in Iraq. And nearly everyone there would be one of her constituents; in 2012, Gabbard won a seat in the U.S. Congress for Hawaii’s Second District.

Gabbard is one of the few politicians who doesn’t appear to be acting; all politicians are required to act as though they appreciate patriotic celebrations.

She is 36 years old and has a talent for exuding both young enthusiasm and mature gravitas. Her political outlook is also mixed.

She is a passionate Bernie Sanders fan with equally passionate bipartisan tendencies. She is well-known for both her opposition to U.S. military engagement abroad and her concern for how veterans are treated.
