The 46-year-old was discovered Wednesday night beneath her apartment in the affluent 16th area of the city.

Anti-depressants were found inside Barry’s locked-from-the-inside apartment, where she lived alone.

Barry studied fashion but then changed his focus to photography. She opened an addiction treatment facility close to Paris as a result of her drug and alcohol issues.

Filippetti remarked that Barry was a superb photographer whose “sense of light and composition was very pictorial,” adding that “her fragility touched us.”

In a previous interview, Kate Barry mentioned how she first became interested in photography as a young child because of Serge Gainsbourg’s Polaroid.

Barry struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years; the issue started when she was a teenager.

She established the nonprofit Aide et Prévention des Toxicodépendances par l’Entraide (APTE) in the early 1990s to help drug users get well through therapy. This organization helped her stay sober for years.

In what was thought to be a suicide, Barry her away on December 11, 2013, after falling from her fourth-floor apartment in Paris’ 16th arrondissement.

Later, her sister Charlotte Gainsbourg refuted the claims that Barry had committed suicide, saying, “I want to believe it’s an accident.”

However, she acknowledged that it was hard to determine whether Barry had died accidentally or intentionally. Barry was laid to rest in Paris.

Career Details Of Kate Berry

Barry was renowned for her candid shots of well-known individuals. She frequently collaborated with her mother and sisters and designed Carla Bruni’s debut album Quelqu’un m’a dit’s album cover.

In 2012, Barry and journalist Jean Rolin published a book together titled Dinard: Essai d’autobiographie immobilière.

Birkin has previously stated that her oldest daughter Kate resembles her the most. She works in photography. She began taking pictures of her sisters using a Polaroid camera when she was very little.

In this year’s September issue of Vanity Fair, when asked about her greatest accomplishment, Jane Birkin responded, “My three girls and, personally, lasting so long in this profession with limited talent.”
