Gaetz, a fiery Republican worried he was in grave legal danger, reportedly asked outgoing President Donald Trump for a pardon in September, according to a report.

In connection with a sex trafficking probe, federal prosecutors have advised against filing charges against Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, according to The Washington Post.

According to the reported recommendation, it is doubtful that Gaetz would face criminal charges due to the investigation into his suspected relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Gaetz has denied doing anything improper.

Charges And Legal Issues on Matt Gaetz

A former Florida tax collector was found guilty of sex trafficking with minors and other felonies, and her arrest sparked a federal investigation against U.S. congressman Matt Gaetz. She was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Joel Greenberg, a former tax collector for the county of Seminole, was charged with stalking a political rival, governmental corruption, issuing phony licenses, and planning to submit bogus loan applications.

He entered a guilty plea to six federal offenses, including conspiracy to bribe a public officer, stalking, identity theft, and wire fraud.

He allegedly paid at least one female to have sex with him and other men, according to the prosecution.

Since his client had helped with the investigations of 24 persons, including eight for sex crimes, Greenberg’s lawyer had pleaded for mercy.

Four federal indictments as a result of Greenberg’s cooperation, according to defense counsel Fritz Scheller, and more are anticipated in the upcoming month.

Personal Life of Matt Gaetz

After a disagreement with then-Representative Cedric Richmond in June 2020, Gaetz claimed that he had lived with a 19-year-old Cuban immigrant, Nestor Galbán.

Since Galbán was 12, he had Matt Galbán as his own son. He then stated that Galbán is an ex-girlfriend of Gaetz and that he spends time with Gaetz, his family, and his sister.
