12. Akhram Asylum- Shock Therapy

Situated at the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, in Warner Bros. Movie World, Akhram Asylum ranks 12th on our list of the scariest rides in the world.

The coaster was originally called Lethal Weapon– The ride when it first opened in 1995.

However, on 27th January 2012, The Lethal Weapon–The Ride was closed. Following that, it was renamed Arkham Asylum and reopened to the public in April 2012 with a modified form.

So, before descending a steep, curving incline to the right, the train reaches a height of 33.3 meters (109 ft).

Furthermore, it also has a top speed of 88 kilometers per hour.

Similarly, it is made up of two trains, each with ten cars. A total of 20 riders in each train are seated two across in a single row.

11. Goliath

Goliath, the 11th scariest ride in the world, was officially opened to the public on 11th February 2000. It is situated in Valencia, California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park.

The train rises to a height of 72 meters (235 feet) above ground level. Similarly, in this ride, you will experience numerous exciting drops.

The initial drop, at a speed of 85 miles per hour, will be 255 feet into an underground tube. Another 185-foot plunge is served once again.

Besides, Goliath’s trains were stopped on the lift hill during a test run on 4th April 2015. It was later revealed that this was caused by a chain failure, for which the entire chain was replaced.

10. Superman: The Ride

This is a steel casting with a slope of 208 feet. Likewise, it has a drop of 221 feet (67 m) with a top speed of 120 km / h (77 mph).

And, the length of the steel track is 5,400 meters (1,600 m).

Bizarro was, however, renamed Superman: The Ride in 2016. So, now the ride has VR technology which is also the northeast’s first VR rollercoaster.

9. Maverick
