Early Life of Stefanos Tsitsipas 

Apostolos Tsitsipas and Julia Apostoli welcomed Tsitsipas into the world on August 12, 1998, in Athens.

His mother is Russian, and his father is Greek; he was born in Proastio, Karditsa.

Sergei Salnikov, his maternal grandfather, played football for Zenit Leningrad, Spartak Moscow, and Dynamo Moscow in the Soviet Union.

His mother in particular was a world No. 1 junior, achieved a career-high professional rating inside the top 200, and represented the Soviet Union in the Federation Cup.

Both of his parents are seasoned tennis players. At the time of his birth, his parents were tennis instructors at the Astir Palace resort hotel in Vouliagmeni.
