What Happened To Andrew Chang And Where Is He Now? Meet His Wife Carolyne Stafford

What happened to Andrew Chang? Audiences and fans have been wondering since he departed from The National.

The Canadian television Journalist is widely recognized as a co-anchor of CBC’s nightly newscast, The National.

Chang joined CBC Montreal in 2004 as a researcher and anchored CBC Vancouver’s News at Six from 2014 to 2017.

He later became a part of the channel’s broadcast team for the 2014 Winter Olympics and was named co-host of The National in August 2017.

Chang is the recipient of multiple Canadian Screen Awards for Best News Anchor, both National and Local.

However, he is not going anywhere – he is hosting a new daily program for the channel’s upcoming streaming news service. 

The change came as CBC announced several changes, including Arsenault serving as the sole weekday anchor and Hanomansing continuing to anchor on Friday and Sunday.

On November 30, 2022, Chang’s About That program launched on CBC News Explore.

The new service aims to target audiences streaming live and on-demand through the CBC News App, website, CBC Gem, or via social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. 

CBC News Explore strives to bring the best of CBC News video, current affairs, and other content, in addition to some original shows, like About That, hosted by Andrew Chang.

About That wants to expand everyone’s understanding of trending stories with openness and genuine curiosity.

As the team puts it, Chang finds “the awesome in the daily news” and deepens into topics with a sense of wonder and a clear focus.

While the show airs live on CBC News Explore at 11 am ET, it can also be watched at any time of the day on demand.

Other original shows featured on CBC News Explore will include This Week In CanadaBIG, Planet Wonder, and Playlists.

As things stand, we do not need to worry. Andrew Chang is not going anywhere – he is instead in charge of a new CBC program.

Besides, Chang recently bought a two-bedroom condo near Yonge and Eglinton, which appeared to him as the perfect mix of the hustle and bustle, great eating, exciting places, and family friendliness.

During his leisure time, he does a lot of hiking, plays board games, or snuggles in a log cabin.

Meet Andrew Chang Wife Carolyne Stafford

Andrew Chang is married to his wife, Carolyne Stafford (m. 2012), and the couple has two daughters named Arianna and Chloé Chang.

Andrew and Carolyne met at a chemistry Party when he was a junior reporter at CBC Montreal, and she was pursuing her master’s in chemistry.

Their first date was later that night when he tried to impress her with the bit of French he spoke and succeeded.

After years of dating, Andrew gathered the courage and proposed to her by a small lake at Mont Tremblant.

Subsequently, the two wed in Montreal’s Museum of Fine Arts and honeymooned in Hawaii.

Andrew Chang was born in Ottawa, Canada, to his parents Joseph and Wendy Chang, states Facts Bio

Born on December 15, 1982, Chang is currently 41, and his zodiac sign is Sagittarius.

The Canadian national spoke English as he grew up in a family where his mom spoke Mandarin and his dad spoke Cantonese. After moving to Quebec, he also became fluent in French.

Chang graduated with a degree in journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa.
