The Journalist posted a poignant statement and several images of herself with her guests as they recorded the program.

Hoda is busy working on her podcast and hosting Today every weekday morning. The Actress co-anchors the Fourth Hour with Jenna Bush Hager and co-hosts the program with Savannah Guthrie.

Sheinelle Jones, 44, and Tom Llamas, 43, stood in for the absent Today regulars on Monday’s edition. Hoda and Savannah are off on President’s Day, Sheinelle said during their opening segment.

She turned to face her co-star and said, “We’ve had a jam-packed morning. We have a lot to accomplish.”

Kotb’s first on-air position following college was at Greenville, Mississippi’s then-CBS affiliate WXVT. Afterward, Kotb worked as a reporter for the ABC affiliate WQAD in Moline, Illinois, from 1988 to 1989.

From 1989 until 1991, she was a reporter and weekend anchor for the Fort Myers, Florida, CBS affiliate WINK. Kotb worked as an anchor and reporter for the CBS affiliate WWL in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 1992 to 1998.

Kotb was requested to appear in Martina McBride’s 2011 music video for the ballad “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” which is dedicated to Cancer survivors.

Kotb was raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Alexandria, Virginia, after being born in Norman, Oklahoma. She spent the whole 1990s residing in New Orleans.

Egyptians are the parents of Kotb. Kotb and her family resided in Nigeria and Egypt for a year. She has a sister named Hala and a brother named Adel.
