A message from a friend, Scott Kennedy, on Monday afternoon, stated that Beyer had passed away in hospital care at 3.30 pm.

Kennedy also mentioned that Georgina was surrounded by her closest and dearest all the time past week, and Beyer accepted her faith and cracked jokes until her final breath.

In Mary Potter Hospice, the politician died peacefully on March 6, 2023, at 3.30 pm.

Beyer had mentioned she wanted to pay respect to individuals who may have been transgender but who never came out.

Georgina’s friends said in the media that there would be no funeral as requested by the politician, but they will soon organize a memorial service for her.

Beyer was referred to as a natural, committed trailblazer who will be missed on Twitter by former Labor minister and United Future leader Peter Dunne.
