She met her husband, Gram Parsons, in the early 1970s. Gram was already a superstar then, and Gretchen was an aspiring actress.
The couple married on September 13, 1971, at Parson’s stepfather’s New Orleans estate.
The couple was happy in late 1971 and had a great relationship.
However, the relationship was unstable due to Gretchen’s jealousy and needy nature. Reportedly, Parsons quashed his wife’s burgeoning film career.
Many of Parson’s closest associates and friends claim he was preparing to commence divorce proceedings at his death.

Meet Gram Parsons Daughter Polly Parsons
Gram Parsons had a daughter Polly Parsons with Nancy Lee Ross Parsons.
Polly was born to Gram’s ex-girlfriend Nancy Ross, with whom he had a short affair.
Parson’s childhood friend, Brandon de Wilde, introduced him to Ross. At that time, Nancy was David Crosby’s girlfriend.
However, Gram was able to take Nancy away from David and marry her. Soon, she became pregnant with his child.
However, Gram did not relish the responsibility of being a father and ordered nancy to have an abortion.
She refused and gave birth to Polly Parsons in late 1967. Shortly after their daughter’s birth, the couple split up, and Nancy moved to Santa Barbara with her daughter.
Nancy raised Polly alone and was so enraged with her ex-husband that she did not allow Gram Parsons’s music in her house.
Nevertheless, Polly used to listen to her father’s music sneaking under her bed.
Polly had a troubled upbringing and suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction as a teenager.
She also kept it a secret that she was the daughter of legendary musician Gram Parsons.
