Zampa used to bowl medium pace as a kid. Still, due to limitations established by Cricket Australia on the number of overs that speed bowlers could bowl in under-14 tournaments, he opted to switch to leg spin, taking inspiration from Australian Test cricketer Shane Warne.

After breaking into Australia’s under-19 squad in 2009, the sportsman signed a rookie contract with the Blues in 2010 and contributed to the country’s victorious Under-19 Cricket World Cup campaign in 2010.

Adam participated in two youth Test matches and eight youth ODIs, playing in all formats and taking 11 wickets.

Several franchise owners saw Zampa’s consistently efficient bowling in T20s, as a result of which the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants purchased the bowler.

Zampa took six wickets for 19 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad to record the second-best bowling statistic in IPL history while playing for MS Dhoni and Steve Smith.

Adam Zampa Family And Origin

Adam Zampa was born to his father, Darren Zampa and his mother, Alison Zampa, on March 31, 1992, in his hometown, Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia.

The cricketer is Australian by birth and Australian-White by ethnicity. According to the bowler’s birthdate, his zodiac sign falls in the Aries group.

Adam also has a sister in his family with whom he spends his childhood in his hometown. Similarly, Zampa’s father was a cricketer who represented New South Wales.

Zampa originally hails from New South Wales but moved to South Australia in 2013 to play domestic cricket. The cricketer wears the #63 jersey in memory of his friend, the late Phil Hughes.

Before his career in the cricket sector, Adam was employed by SeaWorld Entertainment as a dolphin trainer.

On February 6, 2016, Adam played in his first ODI, which was part of the 2015–16 Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series.

On March 4, 2016, the Australian bowler played in his first Twenty20 international match for Australia against South Africa.

 Zampa initiated to play regularly for Australia’s ODI and T20 teams. Before his Australia T20I debut in South Africa, Zampa was selected for the 2016 World Twenty20 team.
