Matt Gaetz has not been arrested, but the politician is facing serious allegations.
Rebekah Jones, the Democratic Party candidate who lost to Gaetz for Florida’s 1st congressional district last year, appears to be the source of these rumors.
The fact that Rebekah has a controversial history makes it difficult to believe her claims.
To illustrate, she was detained in 2019 and accused of stalking her ex-boyfriend, who also happened to be a Florida State University student.
Before that, she was accused of breaking the terms of a domestic violence restraining order involving the same ex-boyfriend, felony robbery, trespassing, and contempt of court.
Now, Rebekah Jones is after Matt Gaetz. She made a series of tweets claiming that different reports have confirmed Matt Gaetz’s affair with his press secretary, Joel Valdez.
After the FBI allegedly obtained images of the congressman “making out with young men,” she tweeted that Gaetz’s office was in “upheaval.”
After all these tweets went online, requests for comment from Gaetz’s office and his wife have gone unanswered.

Before deciding to run for state representative, he spent a brief period practicing law after earning his degree from William & Mary Law School.
From 2010 to 2016, he was a Florida House of Representatives, member. His defense of Florida’s contentious “stand-your-ground-law” garnered him widespread media attention.
He was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 2016 & then won reelection in 2018 and again in 2020 and 2022.
Joel Greenberg, a friend of US Representative Matt Gaetz, received an 11-year term for sex trafficking with a child.
Joel Greenberg, a former tax collector for Seminole County, was charged with stalking a political rival, governmental corruption, issuing phony licenses, and plotting to make bogus loan applications.
He entered a guilty plea to six federal offenses, including conspiracy to bribe a public officer, stalking, identity theft, and wire fraud.
Greenberg allegedly paid at least one female to have sex with him and other men, according to the prosecution.
An inquiry into his pal Gaetz to determine whether he paid a 17-year-old girl for sex may benefit from Greenberg’s cooperation.
Gaetz initially claimed that the accusations were a part of an extortion scheme and has since rejected them.
