Born in Campbell River, Canada, Daniel was raised in Vancouver alongside his 3-year-old sister Erin.

However, the details about his parents are not widely available to the public as he was a private-natured person.

Nevertheless, his craftmanship took the initiative when his family deemed a video camera at the age of seven, which further crafted his future self.

He used to film nature while also asking the insatiable questions in his mind.

Then Daniels’s never-ending curiosity about people, innate human connections, and ancient civilizations started.

Further, he dropped out of high school a month before graduation to follow his passion for exploring the world.

Further in Mexico, he went to the Yucatan peninsula to explore an ancient Mayan burial cave filled with remains of women and children who were killed in ritual sacrifice.

Additionally, the legends warned him not to pick up anything as it would bring terrible luck or even death.

However, he did it anyway, picking up a small, calcified sphere as a keepsake.

Eventually, within a few months, on July 11, 2008, to be exact, doctors diagnosed him with leukemia (bone marrow cancer).

After three failed rounds of chemotherapy, he stopped getting blood tests and immersed himself in nature once again.

Further, he set out to return that stone to its home in Mexico but couldn’t find it in time.

Unfortunately, after almost a year, on June 20, 2009, Daniel lost his battle against cancer at the age of 29.
