A recent crash on Victoria Road at West Ryde created traffic chaos. A bus and a car collided on a roadway in Sydney’s northwest on Monday.
The crash reportedly brought down power wires, forcing traffic delays. The incident occurred shortly after 3 pm on 22 May 2023.
Motorists were given instructions to stay away from the area. Video from the accident area has also been circulated online.
Victoria Road is one of the longest roads in Sydney, Australia. The road connects Parramatta with Rozelle.

Victoria Road Accident At West Ryde Cause Traffic Delays
As mentioned earlier, a bus and a car crashed at west ryde on Monday (22 May 2023), sparking traffic chaos. The Victoria road accident has created a traffic delay, and people are advised to avoid the road.
New South Wales Police Department confirmed that no passengers were on the bus.
The NSW police released a statement stating that the accident brought down wires from a telegraph pole, requiring the authorities to close the road to travelers in both directions.
The diversion is in place for the time being, and the area has been cordoned off. In addition, the emergency electrical crews are ensuring the area’s safety.
As of Monday evening, Victoria Road’s eastbound lanes have all been reopened; however, near Brush Road, all westbound lanes are still blocked.

Victoria Road Accident: Any Victims?
The driver of the bus – which crashed with a car just after 3 pm on Monday – reportedly sustained minor injuries. Paramedics treated his injuries at the scene. The name and identity of the driver have not been disclosed.
As for the condition of the car driver, there has been no information. However, the person is likely to have not sustained any injuries, as the NSW police statement didn’t mention anything in regard.
Live Traffic Sydney stated that a large amount of traffic is flowing westbound through the area. They recommended people allow plenty of extra travel time.
