At a hearing in February, he also acknowledged causing death by operating a vehicle without insurance. He was prohibited from using a car for five years.
He was given a six-month parenting order, and both of his parents were made to pay the victim surcharge of £26 and the £85 cost of the prosecution.

On June 2 last year, a teenager on a privately owned e-scooter struck pedestrian Linda Davis, age 71, walking on the sidewalk in Southwell Road East, Rainworth, Nottinghamshire.
Six days later, Mrs. Davis, also known as Lou, passed away at a hospital.
The boy, who cannot be identified legally, appeared at a hearing at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
And entered a guilty plea to two counts: one of causing death by operating a vehicle contrary to the terms of a license and another of causing death by operating a vehicle without insurance.
The Nottinghamshire-born youngster, who was being supported by his Father and was dressed in a black jacket, tracksuit bottoms, and sneakers, spoke solely to confirm his identity and make supplications.
District Judge Leo Pyle granted the youngster bail until his subsequent court date, requiring him to assist law enforcement before the hearing.
“This case will necessitate a pre-sentence report about the defendant’s age,” he stated.
Where Can Individuals Use An Electric Scooter?
The Department for Transport states that operating privately owned e-scooters on sidewalks, footpaths, bike lanes, and cycle tracks on public roadways are prohibited. A driver’s license is required for riders.
They must meet several specifications to be used legally on public roads and in public areas, including being insured, taxed, and utilized with the appropriate safety equipment and other conditions.
But, according to the DfT website, “it is likely that they will find it very difficult to comply with all of these standards,” making it illegal to use them on public roads.
With the approval of the landowner, they may be used on private property.
In Nottingham, under the city council’s SuperPedestrian project, a Government-backed pilot that runs through May 2024, approximately 1,300 electric scooters are now available for rental.
Riders must be at least 18 years old and possess a provisional driving license to use them on public roads in some parts of the city.
