The ‘About’ page provided a credible description of the Japanese artist’s passing to anyone who read it. According to an article in the New York Post, Yoko Ono used a wheelchair in 2017.

In 2017, the 87-year-old Ono attended the National Music Publishers’ Association ceremony and accepted their Centennial Song Award.

Ono said in her moving acceptance speech that she had gained much knowledge from suffering this sickness.

Ono was born to mother Isoko Ono, a member of the Yasuda clan and zaibatsu, in Tokyo City on February 18, 1933.

Eisuke descended from a long line of warrior-scholar samurai. Eisuke’s Company, the Yokohama Specie Bank, sent him to San Francisco, California, two weeks before Ono was born.

Ono first met her Father when she was two years old and the rest of the family soon after. After the family relocated back to Japan in 1937, Ono enrolled at the prestigious Gakushin School in Tokyo, one of Japan’s most elite schools.
