On the morning of 14 August 2023, a tragic incident was encoded around the Mexican media where a young woman, Maria Fernanda, lost her life.
It was a tremendous pain for the deceased’s family, as the young girl Maria Fernanda was there to spend her holiday time with her friends. She was happily enjoying the water games and swimming in the massive water. She was on vacation and stayed in the Hotel Riu.
Maria might have never imagined that one of the happiest times of her life would result in a tragic death.
According to the official statement, the young woman died in Playa, Cerritos at approximately 5:30 am when she unconsciously fell into the water with another person.
The rescuers and the witness of the catastrophe stated that she could have been saved, but unfortunately, she had inhaled so much of the water that her body gave up early.
It is reported that three people entered the sea at dawn in the morning. All of them were under the influence of alcohol from partying all night before.
In the early morning, there were no scheduled lifeguards, and most people were resting. Thus, there was less chance for the drowned to be rescued on time.
Furthermore, none of the friends were conscious of analyzing the tragic situation. When they came to the alert state, it was already late for Maria Fernanda to be saved from the unfortunate and untimely demise.

The news of Maria Fernanda’s death shocked the entire family, and the most shocked were her father, Luis Angel “El Flaco,” and her two younger siblings.
The musician and the former member of Los Recoditos shared a heartfelt statement announcing the untimely death of his daughter.
EL Flaco wrote, ” With deep sadness, I have to announce the departure of my beloved daughter Maria. I beg for understanding for the deep pain in this hard moment and will appreciate the empathy to respect my privacy”.

Besides Maria’s father, her two younger siblings are also bewildered by the death news. The deceased Maria was the sister of Angela and Luisito.
