Shaista Parveen is the wife of Atiq Ahmed, the late Indian criminal, politician, and former member of the Indian Parliament. Atiq was also a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Samajwadi Party.
Since 2019, he has been in jail for more than 100 criminal cases had been registered under his name. On December 15, 2016, Parveen’s late husband Atiq was for assaulting staff of the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.

Is Atiq Ahmed Wife Shaista Parveen in Jail?
No, Atiq Ahemd’s wife, Shaista Parveen, is not in jail at the time of this writing but will get arrested soon as Police are searching heavily. Not to mention, Shaista is also an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and is still on the run.
Due to that, the Uttar Pradesh Police doubled the reward for her arrest and informed her that the prize money for Parveen had been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000.
Meanwhile, Shaista has been on the run, but recently, in an application to the court, she noted that she had been falsely implicated in this murder case.
Likewise, Parveen also requested the Allahabad district court to allow her release on bail if she was placed under arrest.
The BSP said that Shaista was invited to the wedding of BSP chief Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand. Umesh Pal was shot and killed in Prayagraj’s Dhumanganj area on February 24, 2023.
Following the incident, Atiq Ahmed, his wife, Atiq’s brother Ashraf and his sons were named as accused in the murder case.

Where Is Shaista Parveen Now?
The location of Shaista Parveen has not been revealed, but the Police are widely searching for her. Atiq and his brother Ashraf were shot by three attackers when they were in Police custody on Saturday.
This deadly incident came after Atiq’s son Asad Ahmed was encountered by the UP Special Task Force in Jhansi. After Atiq’s murder, the main question is where his wife Shaista hides.
Various sources have speculated that she may attend her husband’s funeral services. So, Advocate Vijay Mishra also said that Shaista may surrender today.
