After her passing, her dad, Loren, mentioned her as a beloved daughter on his Facebook post and informed them about her death to the world.
In the post, he wrote,
With great sadness, I must inform you all that our beloved friend, mentor and daughter Hydeia, passed away today after living with Aids since birth.
Likewise, Loren also wrote about how brave she was to spread awareness among people regarding HIV despite facing challenges on her way.
Now, talking about her family members, her blood relatives are yet to come out in the limelight.
The fact to be told, her biological parents abandoned her when she was just an infant.
At the time, she was left at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.
Soon after her adoptive mom and dad noticed her there, they first took her as a foster child.
Later, they adopted her and raised her despite knowing that she was battling AIDS. They never left her side.

Hydeia Broadbent Activism Journey: What Made Her HIV Activist At A Young Age?
As mentioned earlier, Hydeia Broadbent became an activist at 6 by speaking about AIDS and raising awareness.
Well, Hydeia was born with the HIV/AIDS virus in her body. When she turned 3, doctors told her parents that her disease was already in the advanced stage and she would survive up to age 5.
But fortunately, she lived, and the realization of what it seems to be living with AIDS every day made her an activist at such a young age.
Hydeia appeared on Oprah Winfrey Show, Essence, The Maury Povich Show, Good Morning America, and others during her activism journey.
She also became the spokesperson of the Magic Johnson Foundation and several other organizations.
In her 39-year-long life, she made several contributions. And this will keep her alive even if she bid goodbye to the world.
