After the announcement of season 2, a debate is heating up about who might be playing Katakuri in the live action of One Piece.
There’s some buzz going around that Marios Gavrilis might be taking on the role of Katakuri in the live-action.
Marios Gavrilis is a Greek-German actor based in Los Angeles and Berlin. Marios Gavrilis was born on December 19, 1985, in Braunschweig, Germany.
He has acted in different German TV shows like Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei and Familie Braun.
From 2010 to 2011, he was part of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus theatre.
He’s famous for voicing Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan and Charlotte Katakuri in One Piece.
Fans of One Piece are really excited to see him as Katakuri in the live-action version of their favourite series.
Is Marios Gavrilis Katakuri In Live Action Of One Piece?
Charlotte Katakuri is a major antagonist in One Piece. He is one of the top three commanders in the Big Mom Pirates.
He’s the second son and third kid in the Charlotte Family, Furthermore, he has a bounty worth 1,057,000,000 berries.
Katakuri ate the Mochi Mochi Fruits, which allows him to create, control and transform into Mochi at will.
In the anime, Katakuri’s voice was done by Tomokazu Sugita.
Additionally, Marios Gavrilis, a German voice actor, provided the voice for Katakuri in the German version of the anime.
As we know, Katakuri is a tall, muscular, and strong guy, measuring 509 cm.
Likewise, his legs are incredibly long, with thighs as long as his lower limbs, making his appearance quite unique.
Because of his distinctive look, people are trying to guess who might be chosen to portray Katakuri.
After Marios Gavrilis voiced for Katakuri, people really like him. People think he’d be a great fit for playing Katakuri in the live-action One Piece.
Marios Gavrilis has also tried voicing Katakuri in different languages, and he did a fantastic job in each one.
Plus, his looks and voice would make a lot of sense for the live-action version of Katakuri.
Even though it’s not official yet, people are really hoping that Marios Gavrilis will be chosen for the role of Katakuri.
Will Katakuri Appear In One Piece Live Action?
The live-action One Piece series on Netflix has been a tremendous hit among viewers.
And it’s with great excitement that Netflix has officially announced there will be a second season of One Piece live action.
It’s worth noting that the first season of the One Piece live-action finished its story at a point similar to episode 45 in the anime.
However, for fans eagerly awaiting Katakuri’s appearance, they might need to exercise some patience.
Since Katakuri didn’t make his anime debut until Episode 825. So, it will be a long wait for him to appear in the Live action of One Piece.
Given the overwhelming support and love from fans, Netflix’s decision to greenlight a second season is understandable.
With this in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising if the series continues to unfold.
Meanwhile, potentially bringing the much-anticipated arrival of Katakuri to the live-action adaptation.
Hence, there are two things to look forward to.
First, the appearance of Katakuri in the live action of the ongoing One Piece series.
And second, the possibility of Marious Gavrillis taking on the role and fulfilling Katakuri Fan’s dreams.
