In an interview with Safarina Magazine, Kathleen Stephens shared her story of what inspired her to make a career in arts.
She was in grade 1 or 2, and her class went to the police station as an outing.
The policeman asked what everyone wanted to be when they grew up after the tour, to which most replied doctor, teacher, and so on.
However, Kathleen replied she wanted to be a policeman just because she had just gone on the police station tour. But deep down, she wanted to perform but didn’t know how to say that.
She had always been performing as she would do fun little shows for her family, and she would get her brother and cousins to play along.
So, she felt really bad while returning home because she realized that she could have been anything as an actor.
That moment was profound for her, which solidified her as a performer. She could play any role she wanted. That’s why she pursued acting.
